What to Expect

For most activities a relatively moderate level of exertion is required. You will need to climb into and out of Zodiacs for excursions ashore (there will be staff and crew members at hand to assist). Ashore, you must be able to walk moderate distances, unaided, over rough terrain (rocky, uneven beaches and snow). Accommodations aboard the Clipper Adventurer will be very comfortable. Chefs prepare a variety of international specialties. Temperatures will range from 35°F - 45°F in South Georgia and 45°F - 55°F in the Falkland Islands. We will mail a complete list of recommended clothing and a suggested reading list to you approximately five months prior to departure. Participants will most enjoy the remarkable opportunities this expedition offers if they travel with a spirit of adventure.
